all the people in a row and all the things we think we know
and all the insecurities from the drama on TV
it turned us all mentally weak, from the danger on the streets
and so the blood was shed and my whole family's dead
my whole world is gone and I have no home
while the news on TV was preaching to remain calm

as we poured out onto the streets, we all start to scream

we are the dead and hopeless
we're dropping like flies and then re-arise, just barely alive (woah)
we are the dead and hopeless
we'll take back control, at least I hope, ready to go, (woah)
so we try to run and hide and we try to stay alive
arming ourselves for a war, that we've never fought before
and we wonder will it end, before the rest of us are dead
and as the blood was shed and as the troops are led
we all wonder how, this could all go down
how will it all transcend, will we all be dead?
but one by one I watch us die and think that hope is running out
